2012 is looking up for Chrysler, as the auto maker posted its highest sales figures in four years. In fact, March 2012 was the highest in the last four - five year bracket, according to the company. Sales recorded from Bill Luke Chrysler Jeep Dodge in Phoenix, AZ were also higher this year.
Chrysler sold 163,381 cars and trucks in March 2012, up 34% from a year ago."The combination of credit availability, an improving economy, pent-up demand and even high fuel prices encouraging people to acquire newer, more fuel-efficient vehicles are all helping to drive industry sales," said Reid Bigland, head of US sales for Chrysler Group.1
Models like the updated Chrysler 200 were part of the reason the auto maker performed well this month. With rising fuel prices and
the need for more space, customers are flocking towards Chrysler's
award-winning minivan, the Town & Country, which comes
with incredible gas mileage for its class.
Chrysler once had no models that reached a 30 miles per gallon mark. Now, all vehicles are rating at that, if not more, on the highway. It's a dedication to commuters and the environment that has helped the company make a huge comeback. Vehicles with the highest fuel economy for the organization accounted for 29% of these March sales.
