Chrysler Thanksgiving Ad 'Sees Through' Adversity

It's that time of year again. It's time to sit back, relax, and scarf down some turkey. And while Thanksgiving predominantly revolves around food and family, there's also a huge focus on football. This year gathered friends and family will see a very special Chrysler commercial during the Lions-Packers game on Turkey Day. The commercial will feature Detroit, Michigan neighborhoods and people and a voice-over of Edgar A. Guest's 1917 "See it Through" poem. The campaign will also run print ads with a similar focus.
The "Imported from Detroit" campaign has one main focus: to prove Chrysler can and will overcome obstacles. Like the hardened, inspirational people of the city of Detroit, the 2012 Chrysler 300 showcases its hard-working spirit. As President and CEO of Chrysler Brand and Chrysler Group, Saad Chehab, explains, "This new ad is a humble thanksgiving nod to everyone who has believed in Chrysler's resurgence. Year-over-year Chrysler brand sales were up 28 percent last month, the best October sales since 2007, and Chrysler 300 retail sales more than doubled. Chrysler has taken Guest's words to heart, 'seeing it through' with sales growth and award-winning products like the best-in-class 31 mpg 2012 Chrysler 300. The 300 represents so much more than just our flagship vehicle."1 With a nod to perseverance, this most recent element of the "Imported from Detroit" campaign is sure to resonate with viewers across the nation.
Excerpt from Edgar A. Guest's "See it Through poem:"
When you're up against a trouble,Meet it squarely, face to face;
Lift your chin, and set your shoulders,
Plant your feet and take a brace.
When it's vain to try to dodge it,
Do the best that you can do;
You may fail, but you may conquer -
