Check Out the New 2011 Dodge Avenger

2011 Dodge Avenger

Not many cars earn the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) Top Safety Pick honor, but the Dodge Avenger is one such car. Several factors go into the rating, including strict testing, but the Avenger's curtain airbags and stability control certainly helped it earn the award.

On top of a long list of safety features is the stylish exterior of the Avenger, which is sometimes being dubbed the "mini Charger," the grille has a thicker and more noticeable grid pattern that will be showing up in all Dodge and Ram cars and trucks. The dashboard is easier on the eyes with a more streamlined geometry and soft touch plastics that are complemented by bright and matte metallic plastic.1

2011's Avenger carries a base 2.4-liter, 173-horsepower four-cylinder and four-speed automatic. The 3.6-liter V6 is combined with a six-speed automatic, among the most powerful engines in its class. The 283-horsepower V6 bumps up torque on suspension and steering, giving it the feeling of a fully turbocharged ride.

The base model, also known as the Express, which comes with air conditioning power windows, locks and mirrors, 17-inch wheels; a split-folding rear seat and cloth upholstery. The other trims, which include Main Street, Heat, Lux and R/T, some with free Bluetooth, satellite radio and USB ports.
